Celebrate Bastille Day
Date: Sunday, July 12th
Place: 60th Street between 5th and Lexington Ave
This weekend, take that trip to France you always talked about… dip your toes in the Seine, crack off the end of a baguette while laughing with a new lover, drink wine and coffee in the sun on a cobblestone street.
Wait a minute, stay put. You live in New York and dammit, the world comes to you! For France’s Bastille Day, the Big Apple is the next best thing to the City of Lights.
Head up to East 60th street to enjoy a variety of French delicacies including crêpes, éclairs and macarons. Sweets not your thing? Wines, cheeses, beer and cocktails are also available. While you take in the delicious flavor of France you can watch performances by Can-Can dancers, the Chorale Arpége from Martinique, The Franco-American electro/pop/swing band Gingkgoa, the Hungry March Band and more!
