We’re on the tail end of NYC’s beautiful spring weather. Soon enough, we’ll be begging for A/C and shade. But for now…bring on the sun.
There are items we NEED in order to survive in the Empire City. They are as follows: things to eat, things to drink, and things to do.
835 6th Ave
The second restaurant from Portuguese, Michelin-starred George Mendes, Lupolo entices both locals and visitors with its laid-back and congenial character. Seafood dishes cooked over a wood fire, we recommend the Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá—grilled cod, layered with potato, onion, egg, and black olivers, baked in cast iron casserole.
Walk-ins only! That is, unless you’re rolling DEEP
Here’s a new, happening bar located underneath the Tribeca staple, Anejo. All kinds of summertime libations are waiting, notably, the One Love. Tequila, tarragon, fenugreek, and absinthe. Focus on the fenugreek. In the words of Abajo employee, Louis, “It’s brilliant!” In fact, when you get there, ask for our guy, Louis, and tell him Dream sent you.

Tiki Disco is NYC’s ultimate summer party. Great drink deals + amazing DJs + plenty of beautiful people dancing all day straight into the night. Tiki Disco generally takes place every other Sunday afternoon at a few primary Brooklyn locations throughout the summer. Come for a wild Sunday afternoon (your Monday morning hangover will totally be worth it).
