There’s nothing quite like walking through New York City when the sun is out and you have ice cream in hand. A ten-minute walk from Dream Downtown, Dominique Ansel (yes, of Cronut fame) has opened up an ice cream window at the iconic Dominique Ansel Kitchen in the West Village. There are two flavors for now: Burrata soft serve with balsamic caramel and confit strawberry inside, and Gianduja with salted hazelnut brittle and sprayed-on orange mist. You should probably try both for comparison’s sake…

Slowly Shirley
Downstairs, 121 W 10th St,
New York, NY 10011

Last week, we went to the 70’s for a drink. This week? How about the 40’s? That’s what you’ll get at Slowly Shirley, a new Hollywood-themed cocktail bar tucked underneath The Happiest Hour in the Greenwich Village. An art deco environment with an exquisite cocktail menu largely in part to bar mastermind, Jim Kearns, Slowly Shirley is exactly what you need on a hot New York night this summer.

PrideFest
Sunday, June 28th 2015
11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Hudson St. between Abingdon Sq. & W. 14th St.

As you probably know, Pride Week has been rocking and rolling its way through NYC this week. This weekend will surely be the energetic crescendo to cap off another successful year. As we were recently featured in Conde Nast Traveler as the LGBT hotel to book during NYC Pride Week, we’re encouraging everyone to get involved in the festivities this weekend! In its 22nd year, Pride Fest is an annual LGBT street fair that celebrates equality with a full day of food, music, and entertainment…and it’s totally free! There will be thousands of visitors in town for the event, so use this as an excuse to get outside and meet someone new!
