With the 4th of July behind us, it’s time to be lazy. That’s right. Bacon, egg, cheese, and a tube of Aloe vera. Find some shade and a cold beverage. Summer is here.

Here’s a layup. BEC (do we need to spell it out?) takes the breakfast classic to a whole new level. It’s a crawl from Dream Downtown on 17th and 8th avenue. Menu recommendation? If you’re up for it…the Mammoth is waiting.

Check out La Contena in the Lower East Side. You know what’s refreshing? Agave. La Contenta specializes in handcrafted agave-based cocktails. This is a place where you can find some very trendy and experimental tequila drinks that will crown you king! Bartender Alex Valencia and Chef Luis Arce Mota have teamed up for some tremendous drinks, and it would be a shame to ignore that. Don’t like agave? Try the Pulque de Guayaba—pulque, rum, guave puree, lime juice.
Here’s an idea: take one of the most CGI-dependent star laden movies of all time, and recreate it as a two-man improv show. That, as ridiculous as it may sound, is exactly what Nick Abeel and Kyle Schaefer are doing at The Peoples Improv Theater on 24th street this summer.
We wouldn’t lead our guests to something as absurd sounding as this without some trustworthy reviews. Voted as one of 2014’s best comedy shows by Time Out New York, Hold Onto Your Butts is back in business after TWO sold out runs in the city.
Feeling like your summer isn’t quite…weird enough? This will satiate you.
