Where did you grow up?

Well, I was born in Cuba. I moved to Moscow when I was 2. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 9 and have been floating around California ever since.

But I guess Los Angeles would be the place I call home.


What’s the first app you check in the morning?



What’s your spirit animal?

The ever so fabulous, Patricia Altschul from a ridiculous reality show called Southern Charm. She has her butler bring her a “dressing drink,” whenever she’s getting ready to go out. She is everything.


What’s currently your favorite Instagram account?

There’s a lot too choose from, but @GaryPepperGirl is always at the top of my list.


What’s the one thing you cannot travel without?

My black skinny jeans.


What’s your drink of choice?

Coffee, Rose, Gin. In that order.


How many pairs of shoes do you think you own?

I just did a major closet cleanse. I think I’m down to like, 30 pairs.


What did you dream about last night?

Moving to Hawaii.




What brings you to Dream Downtown?

I took a family trip with my mom and sister. It was a lovely little bonding vacation and my little sister’s first time to the city.


Tell us about your favorite NYC memory.

Last Fall I got to sail around the Statue of Liberty on a private yacht in the middle of the night. It was beautiful.


Tell us your favorite hotel story.

A few years back, my friend and I took a trip to San Francisco. We spent a whole evening building a giant fort and ordering ridiculous amounts of room service. It was pretty unforgettable.


You’re in NYC for 24 hours with no commitments, what does your day look like?

Brunch at Buvette, shopping in the West Village, a quick stop for candy from Sockerbit, dinner at Soho House, dive bar crawl in the East Village or the LES.


For someone who’s never been to the Meatpacking District, how would you describe it to them?

Everything you want and need is just around corner.




Tell us how you came up with the name for your blog.

It’s my favorite time of day and also the time when I shoot my photos.


What’s one piece of advice you wish you could give yourself 5 years ago?

Quit your day job right now, you’ll never look back.


If you could be doing anything in the world, what would it be and why?

I would love to have become an astronomer. I’m a total space and science nerd.


What does “living the dream” mean to you?

Doing what you love, surrounded by the people you love.


What do you think is going to the next “big thing” in fashion this year?
